In 2013, my wife and I travelled to Indonesia. After tasting a delicious dish, my wife felt some digestive discomfort. To soothe her condition, the restaurant owner served us a spicy ginger dessert. The ginger had an instant effect and my wife quickly felt better. This intrigued me.
Later, shortly before the COVID-19 crisis, a female friend visited India, where the use of spices in the kitchen works wonders. She showed me photos of baskets full of spices in the markets. The presence of bright yellow turmeric was particularly noticeable and I was impressed.
I started paying more attention to the spices in meals when I went to restaurants. In Indian cuisine, turmeric is used in every dish. This sparked my curiosity. Why use turmeric exclusively in food? In my kitchen, my favourite place to work when preparing new drinks, I went into 'discovery mode'. By experimenting with many flavours, I came up with a delicious drink based on a combination of turmeric, ginger and other ingredients. I would like to share my discovery with you

Thanks to extensive testing in our kitchen with various spices, we have succeeded in creating Ambr – a new spicy drink that is not only fruity, but also non-alcoholic.
This sunny and non-alcoholic drink features turmeric, ginger and lemon.

Ambr is available in 70 cl, 35 cl and 10 cl.
Serving suggestion
- Pour 30 ml of Ambr into a glass
- Add 200 ml of sparking water
- Top up with a few ice cubes
- Garnish with mint and coriander
